Deering Invites Two leaders to Women to Watch Conference in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, IL… State Representative Regan Deering (R-Decatur) welcomed two women from the 88th District to attend the annual Women to Watch Conference hosted by the Illinois House Republican women legislators. Kiley Brunner from Decatur and Cydney Shofner from Weldon were Representative Deering’s guests at this year’s Conference.

Cydney is studying for a future in medicine and is actively engaged with local government. Kiley is building a career in wealth management and focused on helping others achieve financial freedom and create generational wealth through values-based investment selection.

“I am honored to recognize Cydney and Kiley from the 88th District at the annual Women to Watch Conference in Springfield,” said Rep. Deering. “This event is a great opportunity to recognize amazing women from across the state who are committed to the betterment of their communities. It was a day spent connecting with like-mind advocates and building relationships. Thank you to Kiley and Cydney for joining me.”

The conference takes place in Springfield, beginning with a breakfast at the Inn at 835 with House Minority Leader Tony McCombie serving as one of the keynote speakers. Following the breakfast, guests tour the Capitol Complex, attend a networking lunch, and end the day by listening to a panel discussion of accomplished women leaders.

Rep. Deering was one of the facilitators of the networking lunches, leading twelve women in group activities to get to learn more about one another and about her role as a state legislator.

“It was a privilege to be able to lead a networking lunch for these exemplary ladies to talk about their passions and commitment to progress,” concluded Deering.
