IL Has One of the Highest SNAP Error Rates in the Country

Illinois has one of the highest SNAP error rates in the country, sitting at 14.67%, while the national average is 10.62%. Our state’s payment error rate has skyrocketed due to years of mismanagement. Families in need deserve a program that is run effectively, and taxpayers deserve accountability.

Governor Pritzker cannot keep blaming the federal government for problems created here at home. It’s time to address fraud, waste, and abuse and fix one of the highest error rates in the nation so individuals truly in need can get appropriate benefits.
