Thanks to the Safe Routes to School Grant Award, the Village of Downs was awarded $239,169 for improvements to sidewalks, upgrades to traffic control devices, and pedestrian crossings around Tri-Valley Elementary, Middle, and High schools.
This is a great funding opportunity for the Village and Tri-Valley School, but also focuses on making walking, biking, and other methods safer and more accessible for our youth.
