Yesterday, I went on a tour of Constellation’s Clinton Clean Energy Center along with Illinois Manufacturers’ Association, a bipartisan group of legislators, and members from the governor’s office.
As the nation’s leading producer of clean energy, Constellation employs 13,000 people—including 5,100 here in Illinois—operating six facilities with eleven reactors. They are a major economic driver, spending $70 million with small and diverse businesses and contributing nearly $200 million in state and local taxes.
