Public Integrity & Ethics Survey

Following the recent summer of corruption and scandals that erupted in the House of Representatives, the call for ethics reforms has been renewed. This brief survey asks for your views on ethics laws, transparency, and accountability measures for elected officials at the state level. Your responses will help inform my office’s advocacy on these issues. This survey should take less than 2 minutes to complete.

Should pension benefits be suspended for public officials if they’re charged with a felony that is connected to their public service?
Do you believe campaign funds should be prohibited from being used for criminal defense, related to misconduct in capacity as a public official, including any claims of sexual harassment or any claims of discrimination?
Do you believe there should be independent oversight of how state grant funds are awarded to nonprofits, to prevent funds from benefiting the family members of elected officials?
Should the Illinois General Assembly adopt more robust ethics legislation?
