Fast-moving storms blew through Bloomington-Normal today causing significant damage. Crews working for the cities are working to try and clear debris. Outages are widespread for electricity with Ameren and Corn Belt working to restore power. The National Weather Service expects another storm to roll through the area between 2-3am. Strong winds around 60mph and heavy rain is expected. Please use caution when driving and remain alert and patient.
My thoughts are with those impacted and I thank the speedy recovery efforts of city and utility employees.
