Gov. Pritzker and Illinois Democrats keep blaming Illinois’ budget pressures on the federal government but seem to forget the bloated budgets passed year after year under their watch. For too many years, Democrats have used one-time revenue streams to fund long-term projects and have relied on tax hikes and budget gimmicks to get their way. Millions of dollars in pork projects and billions for illegal immigrants are just a few of their spending priorities over the recent years.
In Illinois, Democrats put politics over people but refuse to take accountability when they hit a dead end. Enough is enough. The citizens of Illinois deserve a transparent government that spends within its means, like they are forced to do.
