While the Homeschool Act was not called for a vote in the House before the Chamber’s 3rd Reading deadline, we must stay vigilant. The majority party still may suspend the rules to allow for the bill to be heard on the floor with minimal notice. Not only would this action further erode confidence in the system, it would highlight the majority party’s disregard for the thousands of stakeholders who oppose the bill. We will continue to stand with homeschool families and protect parental rights in Illinois.
